Regulatory Compliance
Last Updated: February 13, 2026
At MoneyExplain, our primary mission is to empower Indians with financial intelligence. To do this safely, we strictly adhere to the guidelines set by India's primary financial regulators.
1. SEBI Compliance (Investment Advice)
The Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI) regulates investment advisors to protect retail investors.
- Educational Status: MoneyExplain is an Education-Only platform. We do not provide "Buy/Sell" recommendations, stock tips, or personalized portfolio management.
- Non-Registration: We are NOT SEBI-registered Investment Advisors (RIA) or Research Analysts (RA). For personalized advice, we strongly recommend consulting a certified professional.
- Softening Language: We continuously review our articles to ensure they don't sound like "advice". We use general frameworks rather than absolute commands.
2. RBI & Banking Safety
As the guardian of the monetary system, the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) sets high standards for banking information.
- Neutral Information: We provide objective data on banking products (FDs, Savings Accounts, UPI) based on public RBI circulars.
- No Endorsement: We do not endorse any specific banking institution over another.
- Fact-Checking: We verify deposit insurance claims against current DICGC limits (₹5 Lakh).
3. DPDP Act 2023 (Data Privacy)
The Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP), 2023 is India's landmark data privacy law.
- Data Fiduciary: We act as the data fiduciary for any information you share (e.g., newsletter emails).
- Processing Principles: We process data only for the specific purpose for which consent was given.
- Principal Rights: Users have the full right to access, correct, and erase their data. Reach out to our Data Protection representative for any queries.
4. Content Removal Policy
To ensure 100% compliance, we may occasionally "kill" or remove articles that:
- Contain outdated regulatory information.
- Discuss products that are no longer legal or safe in India.
- Could be misinterpreted as unregulated financial advice.
If you encounter a 404 on an old link, it is likely part of our ongoing compliance audit to keep our readers safe.
5. Grievance Redressal Mechanism
Users have the right to seek redressal for any grievances related to personal data processing. In compliance with the DPDP Act, we provide a structured grievance mechanism:
- Grievance Officer: Compliance Lead, MoneyExplain
- Contact: moneyexplain.in@gmail.com
- Turnaround Time: 24h acknowledgement; 15-day resolution.
Financial education is a journey of responsibility. We provide the map, but the steering wheel is yours.
